The Hayes Theater in the News

The recently completed Hayes Theater was recently featured in the Architectural Record. “Designed in 1912 to feel like a salon, with 299 seats and windows at the back, the Hayes Theater is, after enlargements, still the smallest Broadway house at about 600 seats.” Zubatkin was engaged by Second Stage Theater on the planning and implementation of the complete theater renovation. The scope included a complete interior renovation as well as the installation of new restrooms, an elevator, and insulated glazing, plus HVAC, electrical, fire-safety, and rigging systems. Additionally, the lower lobby and historic entrance were restored and updated to match the contemporary design. We are proud to have assisted in the transformation of this historic theater. Congratulations to the entire team!
