A New Cross for the St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral

We are thrilled to share a momentous milestone in the renovation of the St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral. On June 30th, Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan led a special ceremony to mark the installation of a new cross, which was beautifully designed in a stately Armenian fashion. This event signifies a key achievement in the Diocese’s ongoing efforts to restore this historic structure for future generations.

The new cross, crafted from copper and to be gilded with gold to match the newly gilded dome, symbolizes faith, hope, and resilience. Its presence atop the Cathedral stands as a testament to the enduring spirit and cultural heritage of the Armenian community.

Efforts to restore the remainder of the limestone façade, the sanctuary, and adjacent spaces continue to be underway. Our team at Zubatkin is honored to serve as a trusted advisor to the Cathedral on this important work. We extend our gratitude to our amazing partners, Beyer Blinder Belle, Nicholson & Galloway, EverGreene Architectural Arts, and Heather & Little Ltd.
