Andy is a proven leader in the owner representation, design and construction fields. He has established a strong reputation that is based on establishing a high level of trust with his clients and delivering their vision, goals, and objectives. Over his thirty-year career, he has overseen projects for some of the most iconic museums, cultural institutions, independent schools, membership institutions and religious organizations in the United States. A hands-on manager, he quickly gains the respect and confidence of organizational and Board leadership, project constituents, specialty consultants and construction professionals.
Andy’s strategic approach and comprehensive understanding of the unique design and operational challenges that institutions face have made him a strategic advisor to many prestigious organizations, such as the American Museum of Natural History, Buffalo AKG Art Museum, New-York Historical Society, Studio Museum in Harlem, Clark Art Institute, 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Guggenheim Foundation and USGA. In addition to his direct project responsibilities, he leads the firm’s In-House Technical Group, a team of experts who serve as a resource to Zubatkin’s project teams and clients to resolve specific technical challenges that arise during a project’s development.
Andy is a frequent speaker at the Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums’ Building Museums Conference and has served as a guest lecturer at several colleges and universities in the New York metropolitan area. He also serves on the Board of Trustees with the Stephen Gaynor School, a pre-K through 8th grade independent school for children with language-based learning differences.
